Hello friends and neighbors – I have enjoyed serving as your District 1 Councilperson for this third year in office. Attached please find a list of projects that, together, we have completed or are still working on. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and your family.

Community Initiatives:
- Veterans Community Project – Built and Moved in 13 Homeless Veterans into Tiny Homes
- Created KCATA/VCP Free Bus Pass for Veterans Program
- Worlds of Fun launch of Winterfest generating increased economic development and created hundreds of new jobs
- Support local restaurateurs through annual Greater KC Restaurant Week

- Variety KC Inclusion signs at all city lots and inclusive play areas
- Support Northland students through jobs and networking with local business leaders
- Meet your Councilperson Monthly
- Increase KCPD to 24 new officers and 15 dispatchers in 2018 budget
- Made Kansas City a Hidden Heroes City to support our Veteran Caregivers
- First ever Caregivers on the Homefront Conference for Veteran Caregivers
- Initiated a Caregiver Focus Group to determine specific KC area veteran caregiver needs with Caregivers on the Homefront and The Elizabeth Dole Foundation
- Support Northland CAPS
- Partnering with Parson to promote the BuyMO initiative in the KC area, supporting local entrepreneurs and small business owners who produce Missouri products and hire KCMO residents
- Work with HOAC /BSA Boy Scouts and other youth on citizenship in the community projects
- Serve on committee to renovate Woodneath Library to house the National Storytelling Center

Infrastructure:

- Working with KCI builders and Variety KC to design 1st in the Nation inclusive play area and restrooms for children and adults with special needs
